Gear up for the monsoon...

We head back from the Himalayas only to gear up for monsoon magic in Free Spirit. 

Free Spirit is our weekend trekking club. The idea behind it is simple.  It’s for the outdoor enthusiasts who never want the fun to end.  If not the Himalayas, then the Sahyadris, right in our backyard !

The Sahyadris are at their verdant best when it rains and our weekend treks make the most of this, then as winter draws closer we take on the slightly more challenging and longer treks that need long days of walking and perhaps even an overnight stay in tents making the most of the great outdoors. 

The idea is to build it up slowly - so we normally start the season with some easy to moderate walks.  Closer to Diwali time and we plan  the over-night treks.  Some short cycling trips are also being planned. To add to this schedule, is also a longer cycling trip along the Mumbai-Goa coastal route,  a children's outdoor camp and also Night Sky Observation which is indeed one of our most popular outings.

Our dates and exact venue will get fixed as we get closer to the month - every month we would put out a schedule for the month giving the trek details, timing, cost etc.  For these trips all you have to do is, put on your walking shoes, carry water and be prepared to walk the talk.  Leave the rest to us.
